Obit-Text* | Clara Bischoff Services for Clara F. Bischoff, 81, Joplin, who died at 10:sa p.m. Wednesday at a akocal nursing home where she had been a patient for a week, were at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Monsignor John Westhues officiated. Mrs. Bischoff was born April 1, 1909, at St. Louis. She moved to Joplin from Wentworth in 1951. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and a former member of Earl J. Bruton Post No. 534 Auxiliary, Veterans of Foreign Wars. She married Benedict James Bischoff on Aug. 23, 1927 at Sarcoxie. He died Feb. 2, 1975. Survivors include a son, Raymond Bischoff, Joplin; two daughters, Rose Margaret Holland, Joplin, and Betty Filarski, Diamond; two brothers, Edward Sharkey, Dallas, Texas, and Frank Sierawski, Lansing, Mich; a sister, Mary Boyers, Poplar Bluff; 10 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and three great-stepgrandchildren. Burial was in Park Cemetery, Columbus, Kansas. |
