Florence V. Hahler, 82, of Hillside Acres, 370 E. Howard, Willard, died unexpectedly Thursday, May 18, 2000, at Mercy Hospital, Willard.

She was born Dec. 29, 1917, in Bismark to Walter and Rose (Miller) Brown. She married Gilbert S. Hahler on Oct. 22, 1940, in St. Sebastian's Church, Bismark, and he died Jan. 24, 1997. A brother, Bernard Brown, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: two sons, Gerald P. of Willard, and Roger L. of Attica; a daughter, Mrs. Jules (Ann) Bahnsen of Columbia, Tenn.; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Viv Daniel of Willard, Justine Wise of Tiffin, Irene Wise of Attica, and Mildred Hiler of New Washington.

Mrs. Hahler was a homemaker; a member of St. Sebastian's Catholic Church and the Altar Rosary Society of the church; well known as a family historian; and enjoyed gardening and playing cards.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the St. Sebastian Church, Bismark, with the Rev. John M. Nagele officiating. Burial will be in the St. Sebastian Cemetery.

Calling hours are 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Lindsey-Foos-Kocher Funeral Service, Attica, where the Rosary service will be conducted at 8:30 p.m.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
