A.A. 'Ollie' Daniel
Resident of Attica

Aloysius Anthony "Ollie" Daniel, 82, of 5111 SR 4 South, Attica, died at 9:20 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, 1999, at Hillside Acres Nursing Home, Willard. He was born March 16, 1917, in Willard, to the late Benjamin and Cecilia (Daniel) Daniel. He was married Oct. 17, 1944, to Valeria Marie (Brown) Daniel, who survives.

Additional survivors include: two sons, Richard Daniel of Attica and Tom Daniel of Republic; a daughter, Norma King of Attica; a brother, Florian "Babe" Daniel of Bellevue; a sister, Elizabeth Stockmaster of Bellevue; and seven grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were a son, Dennis Daniel; and three brothers, Leo, Paul and Joe Daniel.

Mr. Daniel was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II and had received a Purple Heart. He then drove truck for Standard Oil and B&W Pallet in Attica. He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, K of C, of which he was a past Grand Knight, Holy Name, and the Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery Board. He was an avid fisherman, card player and enjoyed watching softball at the park.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, with The Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. Burial will be in the Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Attica.

Visitation hours will be 7-9 p.m. Saturday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Lindsey-Foos-Kocher Funeral Home, Attica, where a Rosary service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday.

Memorials may be made to the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church for Masses, or to the American Cancer Society through the funeral home.
