Meyer, 79, of 12830 County Road 46, Bellevue, passed away Thursday, Feb. 24, 2005 at The Arbors of Clyde. He was born May 9, 1925 in Marywood to the late Joseph and Louise (Swartz) Meyer. On May 18, 1948 he married Eileen Wolfe, and she survives. Also surviving include: two daughters, Barbara (Norman) Ruffing of Attica, and Leann (Tom) Smith of Bellevue; six grandchildren, Monica (Nicholas) Ashbrook of Johnstown, Sandra Ruffing of Attica, John Ruffing of Attica, Nicholas Smith of Perrysburg, Jeffrey Smith of Bellevue, and Brandon Smith of Bellevue; a sister Mary Bollenbacher of Bellevue and sister-in-laws Delores Meyer and Margaret Meyer of Bellevue. Preceded in death were: five brothers, Joseph, George, Sylvester, his twin Clarence and Marion. Mr. Meyer was a retired farmer and Lyme hauler, a member of St. Michael's Church; Eagles Aerie 490; Seneca County Farm Bureau and the 4 County Young At Heart. Clemence enjoyed playing euchre and the Cleveland Indians. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 28, 2005 at St. Michael's Church 16209 E. CR 46, Bellevue with Fr. John Nagel officiating. Burial will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery. Friends will be received on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Harris Funeral Home, 289 W. Main St., Bellevue, where the Rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to St. Michael's Cemetery Fund and/or Heartland Hospice, 208 Washington St., Republic, OH. 44867. |
