Also living in the household were his wife, recorded as Elesblar Velton (given age 55), his sons, recorded as Charles Velton (given age 23) and Henry Velton (given age 15), his daughters, recorded as Annie Velten (given age 21) and Katie Velton (given age 12). Adam and his family owned a multi-family house at 250 Devoe Street, which they shared with two other tenant families. Adam and his daughter Annie worked as tailors. Charles was employed on the docks.
