He declared he was born in Brooklyn, New York on 30 Apr 1896. He was single and employed as an electrotype operator at Doubleday Page and Company in Garden City. He was described as being of medium height, slender build, with blue eyes and light hair.2 
Marriage*Arthur married Minnie V. Carman on 6 March 1918 in Nassau County, New York.3

Census 1930*Arthur was listed as the head of household on the 1930 Census recorded 30 April 1930 in Baldwin, Hempstead, Nassau County, New York. The official date of this census was 1 Apr 1930. Also living in the household were his wife, recorded as Minnie Utz (given age 32). They lived at 95 Cherry Lane. Arthur was employed as a printer at a publishing company.6 
Death*Arthur died in January 1987 in New York, at age 90.1
