LUCILLE R. DEVEREAUX New Windsor, NY

Lucille R. Devereaux of New Windsor and formerly of Cornwall, a retired packaging clerk for Avon Products in Suffern, died Friday, Jan. 1, 1999, in Cornwall Hospital. She was 76. The daughter of the late Peter E. and Rose Faitak Bockis, she was born June 7, 1922, in Detroit, Mich. and was a lifelong area resident. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Newburgh; Middletown Art Group; and the New Windsor Senior Citizen's Friday Art Club. Survivors include one daughter, Kathleen A. Judson of Newburgh; one son, Thomas P. Devereaux of Ann Arbor, Mich; and nephews. She was predeceased by one sister, Dorothy Armstrong and one brother, Robert Bockis.

There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5, in St. Patrick's Church, Grand St., Newburgh. The Rev. John Budwick will officiate. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery, Cornwall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the American Heart Association or to New Windsor Ambulance Corp. Arrangements were made by James F. Lulves Funeral Home, 9 Ave. A, Cornwall-on-Hudson.
